The MR Twin+ 1 set combines the best performance features of a twin fin and a thruster. Pure twin fins are fast, loose, highly maneuverable, and responsive, and the addition of a small stabilizer fin adds an extra degree of drive and control. The large side fins from this set are big enough to be ridden in a pure twin fin configuration and will work in virtually any size or shape board in an optimum surf size range of 1 to 6 feet.

"Being pure foiled fiberglass, the construction of my Futures Fin set mirrors the traditional flex characteristics of a hand-foiled fin cut from a multi layered fiberglass fin panel. The 2+ 1 configuration gives the board a twin fin performance feel with additional speed and maneuverability. The small real rear stabilizer fin adds a degree of positive control and predictability. The outline temp for the MR Twin Fin set plus rear stabilizer is over 20 years old. I developed it around 2000 in response to a request from Soeda Surfboards Japan to make some twin fins for the team riders. My pure twin templates have a wide base and are very upright with not a lot of rake. So, I decided to design a new twin fin and small stabilizer template. Feedback from the Soeda team riders was positive, they loved the boards. The moment I got the feedback I got excited and shaped myself a modern twin fin with the 2+ 1 set-up. 24 years later I'm still surfing with these fins and totally frothing on them!!!"

Overview

• Developed in collaboration with Mick Fanning, this twin plus 1 is focused on speed, power, and control.
• Born from the H4 template, the hatchet-like tip produces instantaneous acceleration from take-off to bottom turn and creates a feeling of stability when pushing through turns
• The wide, thick base is tuned for rigidity & maximum driving power, combined with a smaller stabiliser fin that mimics the side fin template and serves to control the set
• Foil: With a focus on speed, the contemporary foils on the side fins significantly reduce drag and introduce flex in the upper half of the fin precisely where it’s needed.
• Surf fast, push hard, and go wild with this new 2+1 set-up.

FIN DESCRIPTION
The S-5 is a proven all round template that is used for performance surfing. The fin provides great drive for power surfing and a base to rake ratio that will still allow for the tightest of pocket surfing. The S-5 template is one of the most balanced fin templates in respect to drive, hold and pivot and well suited for almost all surf conditions.

The Al Merrick Twin +1 (AMT) generates maximum speed, drive and hold through big carves to perform around pointbreaks or lined up beach breaks. The AMT's honeycomb construction gives this fin a medium flex pattern, while the large area provides ample hold in overhead surf. The set is equipped with the option to ride with a small trailer fin for increased drive and stability, creating more of a thruster feel.

The Log fin offers speed, hold and smooth flow, and is especially suited to any longboarder looking to noseride while maintaining a dynamic and critical approach to the wave.
