JS Industries PU Xero Gravity
Regular price $1,175.00 Save $-1,175.00Xero Gravity is the next in line of our favourite fusions ever. Ridden the same dimensions as your Monsta Box, with the same magic rocker, this will be your all-rounder even more geared to high performance surfing than the updated Xero, which in comparison has the slightly flatter Blak Box rocker and a fuller outline. Xero Gravity also features a similar foil to the previous Xero, with foam hidden in the deck, but a slightly pulled down rail that’s fine tuned for manoeuvrability & quick response.
We’ve streamlined the range while keeping all the nuance and specialised qualities you want to have a board model for every type of wave. Want a super groveller? That’s the Sub Xero. A more performance-oriented option to handle flatter conditions? That’s the new Xero, now even closer to your original Blak Box. And for a performance all-rounder – that’s right here, the Xero Gravity.
It’s our direct update on the board that won QS and CT events in the type of conditions we all surf every day. And it was voted the Australian board of the year back-to-back, due to overdelivering in countless sessions for regular surfers in average to pumping waves. If the Monsta Box made you enjoy surfing more, Xero Gravity will send you to the moon.

XERO GRAVITY
Rocker |
Medium low entry and exit rocker, with a large sweet spot under front foot. |
Fin setup |
The Xero Gravity comes stock as a thruster. Alternative setups are available with custom orders. |
Glassing specs |
Boards 5'6" - 5'11" glassed standard with 4 oz. deck x 4 oz. bottom. Boards 5'11" - 6'4" glassed 4 x 3 oz. deck and 4 oz. bottom. 6'6 and up glassed standard with 4 x 4 oz deck x 4 oz. bottom (All sizes come standard with Hybrid Fibre tail strips) |
Rail type |
The Xero Gravity has medium full rails, the same as the Monsta Box. This forgiving performance based rail shape allows for precision when the right section stands up, yet has enough volume to get you through fat sections or avoid catch in chop. |
XERO GRAVITY
CONCAVE
Slightly deeper concave than the Monsta Box giving a greater sweet spot, deep throughout for greater lift, suiting smaller / less powerful conditions. Single concave under front foot moves to double concave between the fins. Based on team favourites, JS chose to go back to his “reverse concave” which is deeper under front foot and shallower at each end of the board. We found this to be the fastest of them all, as it creates maximum water flow.

JS AIR 17X
Regular price $799.00 Save $-799.00We built the Air 17 for Julian to push the limits in fun, everyday waves from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney and California. It’s a board that over delivers, whether he’s dropping 10s at the Australian Open in sloppy beachies, or throwing some of the biggest combos of the year at perfect Trestles. Now, to cover an even wider range of waves, while maintaining the same magic core design features, we’ve created the Air 17X to allow the fastest, most progressive surfing possible no matter what the conditions are like.
Shorter, wider and flatter than its Performer Series genesis, the Air 17X is the perfect step-down to maintain a shortboard’s performance advantages, while exaggerating your small wave abilities. Even faster off the mark and through flat sections, it has the same large sweet spot thanks to more foam redistributed under front foot and a flatter rocker through the middle. Soft, forgiving rails, deeper concaves and similar late curve in the nose and tail allow you to go anywhere you like in weaker conditions, with as much speed as possible. Our most high performance X Series board, the Air 17X is ridden an inch shorter than the Air 17, and it’s ready to take your absolute best surfing to an even wider range of tiny to average, fun waves.
Rocker |
One of the key elements to the AIR17 X working so well is its rocker, which is even flatter than the Air 17. Tailored to suit Julian’s surfing in a wide range of waves, this board is relatively flat through the middle of the board (particularly under front foot), allowing a nice sweet spot to add forgiveness and ease of generating speed. Late curve in the nose and tail provide an ideal balance of release and maneuverability to keep you surfing your best even in smaller or tricky conditions. |
Fin setup |
AIR17 X comes stock as a thruster. Alterative setups are available with custom orders. |
Glassing specs |
AIR17 X is glassed standard with 4 x 4 oz. deck x 4 oz. bottom (All sizes come standard with Hybrid Fibre tail strips) |
Rail type |
AIR17 X has medium full rails, helping to reduce catch from chop or soft sections. |

CI Rocket Wide - PU
Regular price $1,099.00 Save $-1,099.00The Rocket Wide has been one of our most versatile and popular boards and this new version brings a whole new flair to its qualities.
"Adding the squash tail to the Rocket Wide has given me a whole new perspective on the design. Ultimately what I love most about the Rocket Wide is how much speed it carries through a ride, and the squash really allows you to round out your turns and create smooth lines on the wave with all that speed. It has been a blast feeling that freshness under my feet and stoked to have it as part of my daily quiver to ride!!!" - DANE GUDAUSKAS
Advanced surfers will ride this 2″-4″ shorter than their height.
FCS II - 3 Fin
Happy Everyday - Spine - Tek
Regular price $1,349.00 Sale price $999.00 Save $350.00Created by Britt Merrick from what was initially the Two Happy performance shortboard model, our new Happy Everyday fills a need in every surfer’s quiver: the everyday shortboard.
Coming off the heels of CI’s Pro Team loving the Two Happy, Britt wanted to draft off its performance attributes but modify it to address the everyday conditions most of us come up against. The kind of conditions where you want to rip and aren’t feeling the groveler vibes, and at the same time maybe not quite the epic stuff you would use your high performance shortboard for. To achieve this goal, Britt shortened the rail to create a curvier outline, especially through the tail area. For both the entry and exit rockers he lowered them to increase paddle and planing speeds to cover a broader range of conditions. The single concave under the front foot acts as a gas pedal and generous double concave through the fins provides rail-to-rail ease and plenty of lift in the small stuff.
The CI Pro Team has been loving it, and the design was further validated in the recent Stab in the Dark that featured Taj Burrow in West Oz—not only for the way it looked under his feet but the fact he chose to paddle out on as the wildcard for WSL’s Rottnest Islands event.
The Happy Everyday is a great all-around design that sits right between your high performance shortboard (Two Happy) and a step down/groveler (Rocket Wide).
In short, a board designed for high performance surfing on the majority of waves the majority of us surf every day, the Happy Everyday.
JS industries Hyfi 2.0 Sub Xero
Regular price $1,299.00 Save $-1,299.00Our unparalleled epoxy technology, HYFI, is a unique multi-layer construction that feels like nothing else out there. Think of it as a futuristic exoskeleton for a surfboard that allows it to be lighter and stronger than ever before, while still maintaining the ideal spring-loaded flex for maximum performance. Now, in the last 5 years since it was first released, we’ve taken everything learned to improve each aspect – the performance, flex, speed, materials used and manufacturing processes.
This is everything you want in small surf. To create the Sub Xero, we combined the new Xero with our long running summer favourite, the Psycho Nitro. It has the Nitro’s ultra-fast low to flat rocker and full outline, but with the nose pulled in a touch, and a wider, straighter tail.
In the engine room, vee in the nose prompts quick rail to rail transitions, moving into a deeper single to double concave, which helps the Sub Xero to hold speed and change directions with minimal energy. Generous thickness & a flatter deck is complemented by slightly pulled down rails, similar to other boards with EasyRider style dimensions. This helps maintain volume throughout, while also making it easy to initiate turns and provide immediate response to hit any section on offer.
It’s designed to be as performance oriented as you could possibly ride in knee high waves, and we couldn’t be more excited to unveil it for those days you wouldn’t even get in the ocean without the right super groveler. For slow waves, you need the fastest board – enjoy the Sub Xero.
Ride your Sub Xero approx. 4-6 inches shorter than your Xero in regular dimensions.
Rides 5'4” x 19 1/2” x 2 7/16” x 27.4L
Rides 5'5” x 19 7/8” x 2 1/2” x 29L
Rides 5'5” x 19 7/8” x 2 1/2” x 29L
Rides 5'6” x 20” x 2 9/16” x 30.3L
Rides 5'7” x 20 1/4” x 2 5/8” x 32L
Average to fun waves between 0 and 4 feet.
Rocker |
The Sub Xero has an overall low to flat rocker. This is the perfect all-round rocker for creating speed and glide in small to fun conditions. |
Fin setup |
Comes stock as a five fin and will work equally well as a quad or thruster depending on the conditions. Alternative setups are available with custom orders. |
Glassing specs |
Hyfi 2.0 |
Rail type |
The Sub Xero has low rails to maximise volume whilst not sacrificing manoeuvrability. |
The Sub Xero features a slight rolled vee through nose, running into a single concave under the front foot through to a double concave forward of the fins with a slight vee out of the swallow tail. This design allows for easy manoeuvrability while still giving the board maximum lift and speed.
JS Industries PE Xero
Regular price $1,150.00 Sale price $799.00 Save $351.00We experiment with designs constantly, but JS only commits to a new board model when there’s an obvious quantum leap in performance. That’s the Xero.
Our new gold standard of all-rounders, the Xero came together by fusing elements of the most popular current models together, just like the Monsta Box. JS focussed on the strengths of our three clear global favourites over the past decade, and tested combinations along with fresh ideas endlessly alongside the Traktor Team to find the ultimate everyday shortboard. Built to blow minds in all conditions – especially weaker, flatter faced waves.
Where did we land? On the Blak Box rocker, Monsta Box rail & concaves, with a Monsta outline. Incredibly fast, this rocker fits into a huge range of waves, and provides even more drive than the Monsta Box. It’s flat enough to fly in anything but has just enough curve to be pushed hard when combined with the Monsta’s clean, performance outline, which flows into a slight hip that provides intuitive, instant direction changes. And similar to the Monsta Box, single concave under front foot runs into a double through the fins to give you extra lift yet maintain control in more critical sections.
We recommend riding the same dimensions as your Monsta Box 2020, or in EasyRider dims, closer to your Blak Box 3.

0-4ft. Great in many conditions from crumbly, flatter wave faces to good quality surf. The rocker has been proven over time to be the most versatile in the x-series.
Rocker |
The same rocker as the superseded Blak Box 3. An overall low to flat rocker is the perfect all-round rocker creating speed and glide in small to average conditions. |

Rail type |
The Xero has medium full rails, the same as the Monsta Box 2020. This performance based rail shape allows for precision when the right section stands up, yet has enough volume to get you through fat sections or avoid catch in chop. |
The same concave as the Monsta Box 2020, deep throughout for greater lift, suiting smaller / less powerful conditions. Single concave under front foot moves to double concave between the fins. Based on team favourites, JS chose to go back to his “reverse concave” which is deeper under front foot and shallower at each end of the board. We found this to be the fastest of them all, as it creates maximum water flow.
